It is available in the market in plenty but its making charges are high and its popularity and fine quality make this costly comparing to other fabrics. For this reason apart from cloth material many people hesitate from using this as interior designer fabrics or other purposes.
For its rarity silk fabric is taken cared specially. Any stain or mark can harm its beauty and luster. And cleaning of the mark can be hazardous for the fabric itself and therefore it is very difficult to wash and clean. Since silk is very delicate, strong detergents can harm it, as a result of which it can lose its silky properties. The best way to clean silk garments is to give to the laundry where the experienced cleaners can clean it without causing any harm.
