On-going food preparation is an integral part of kitchen life, each chef spends their time preparing the many components for their dish so that when it comes to service everything is laid out and ready to go. Although this is definitely an important part of kitchen life you can always make food prep that little bit easier.
Peeling and Chopping
Food prep devices can make a huge difference to the running of your kitchen, basic items like a potato peeler can save hours for a commis chef, first thing in the morning. A machine like this can peel up to 5kg of potatoes at high speed and some ovens come with chopping sections which means that you don’t even have to worry about cutting the potatoes once you have peeled them!
A vegetable food processor is a great piece of catering equipment that will save resources because it slices or chops the vegetable in whichever way you want and they are standard sizes so you can have perfect sized veg every time. Simply peel the vegetables you want chopped and then feed them into the device for them to be chopped.
If you own a busy sandwich shop or deli which needs you to have standard slices of cheese and ham but you don’t want to buy them ready sliced then a slicer would make the world of difference to your business. It would save you time not having a person cutting all the pieces by hand you can guarantee that they would all be the right size and done in a fraction of the time.
Daily Bread
A baker’s hour is an early one, it is a job that is both prestigious and tiring and any kind of help would be welcome. Baking is a great skill but kneading huge amounts of dough by hand can be a massive task and can be easily done effectively by a dough mixer. Simply using one of these can take a long amount of time off preparing the dough ready for baking; this is one food prep machine that every kitchen needs.
Ice Cool
Ice cream machines are certainly the modern maker’s choice; creating ice cream without a machine is a long process that can easily go wrong when you are working in a busy kitchen. If you forget about it in the freezer it will crystallise and then will be of no use to your kitchen and that is not only a waste of time but a waste of food and money. Why create this kind of stress when you can make buckets of good quality ice cream in an ice cream maker?
Take your kitchen into the 21st century with this excellent selection of food prep machines that will make light work of your kitchens heavy duty work.
Having the right catering equipment can save lots of time in a busy kitchen. Food Prep machines are essential when your time is limited.
