Of course, this can't be truer. With the rise of book clubs, people have begun to realize all the more pleasures and advantages one gets from reading. Whether you're young and adventurous, middle-aged and wisdom-seeking or a senior enjoying twilight with your favorite romance novels, book clubs can make your reading life fuller.

Those who believe in the value of reading cannot overlook the good things that come with book clubs. But not everyone in this industry has stayed true to what they ought to stand for supposedly as promoters of the love of books. Some people are making it mainly a moneymaking venture more than a place where people can cultivate their love for reading, be rewarded with great discounts and begin beautiful friendships with people with whom they share one very personal thing in common - that is, the love for reading. Hence, no matter how pure your intentions are in finding a book club, it is important to consider the reality that not all book clubs have integrity and it is your job to find the ones that do.

But whatever type of book you like to read, we all feel the same passion in reading. As the week ends, I always make it a point to pass by my book club and get a good book. I love spending Friday nights reading a good book while I sip my tea with a piece of doughnut.

Teens these days spend their free time partying with friends, or shopping or sitting on the couch for the entire day just staring at the TV. I believe that books are very educational and leisurely. It helps you relax while learning while you read. Everyone should be able to understand the advantages of reading books and how it can be a good way to spend Friday nights. Certainly, Doubleday Book Club and those other book clubs can be a great way to connect with new friends and nurture friendships or relationships.

In contrary to popular belief, books are not only for geeks or nerds. Everyone can benefit from reading a book and it should be taught to the younger generations that books are fun, educational and an enjoyable hobby. Reading is an inexpensive yet valuable pastime that can provide you a great experience without leaving your home.
