The number one way to drive visitors to your website is by getting listed on the first page of Google for your keywords. You can spent a ton of cash and hire someone to do it for you, or you can do it for yourself for free. getting tons of traffic doesn’t happen overnight but with these simple techniques you can be well on your way to having a busy website, and you should start seeing results within a couple of weeks.

The first thing you need to do is make sure your website is complete. Allot of new websites are built by amateur web designers who know just enough to get by. Watch some YouTube tutorials on how to optimize your site for the search engines. Once your site is somewhat optimized it is time to move on to promoting your website.

How do Google and other search engines decide which site should be number 1, and which site should be somewhere on the 20th page? It is a complicated process, however I have found that if you get enough back links you can reach number 1. Currently I have 3 websites ranked #1 in Google for their keywords and the only advertising I have done is writing articles just like this one you are reading right now. If you write a good enough article, someone will use it on their website and when that happens you get a back link. A back link is simply a link on a website that sends people to your website. If they like your website they might tell other people to check it out and those people might tell other people, and before you know it you have a ton of traffic.

you can not get results without spending time or money, and I don’t know about you, but I would much rather spend a couple of hours writing an article then spending $100 an hour to pay someone to do it for you. and allot of those SEO firms will do a fantastic job at first, but it seems that after you stop paying, you slowly start falling down the ranks on the search engine. I have no idea what causes this, it is just what I have noticed from my experience with hired SEO companies.

So to get high up on googles list, optimize your site as best as you can, and write an article or 2 about something you know about. I am no expert in web design or SEO, but I know what has worked for me. If you don’t believe let’s try a test.
