Getting in shape and staying fit can be sometimes an uphill battle. You have to struggle a lot to accomplish your fitness goals. Changing all those bad for you eating habits and getting a healthier lifestyle won’t happen overnight. It takes commitment and determination to succeed to lose all that extra heaviness with the help of a healthy balanced diet and frequent exercises.
Here are 4 tips that most successful weight loss programs share:
1)Find out how to lighten up yourself: as you get stressed you start eating more and more food in a frantic attempt to make yourself feel better. Unfortunately when you are stressed you don’t really make good food choices. You tend to eat lots of fatty junk food that only makes you fatter. As the stress builds up the more unhealthy food you eat. Finding new and better ways to cope with stress and anxiety should be one of your top priorities. I have found meditation to be the best way to calm my mind. Meditating daily for about 5-10 minutes is a great way to get rid of the bigger part of stress form your life. If you want to burn the fat away and calm your mind at the same time you should give yoga a try.
2)In no way starve yourself: starving yourself won’t help you lose weight at all in the long run. Quite the contrary. By eating only once a day and stopping to eat meat you bring your metabolism into ruin and it cannot do its work anymore. Your metabolism won’t be able any longer to use up all the calories and surplus energy that you have in your body. Eating many times each day is a amazing way to lose weight but you have to reduce the dimension of your portions. Some weight loss gurus think that eating more smaller meals during each day actually increases your metabolic burns which means you are burning more calories daily and losing more weight quicker. You should eat between 4-5 times each day.
3)Consume more food during the first part of the day: you should eat the bulk of all the aliments you eat during a day in the morning and at lunch. You need energy during the first part of the day because that is when you to most of the labor intensive tasks. By giving your body all the calories and nutrients it needs it will be able to give you all the energy you need all day long. It is very counterproductive to eat large meals as night approaches because your body gets ready for sleeping, and it doesn’t need that much energy to sleep. All the excess calories will become fat cells. If you want to lose weight you should get into the custom of eating big healthy meals in the morning and smaller snack sized meals in the afternoon.
4)Drink a lot of liquids: you probably know that you must drink at least 8-10 cups of water every day. Giving your body all the water it needs is very important for your health and for the success of any weight loss diet. This goes double is you workout frequently because during the workout you get dehydrated. You have to drink liquids to prevent dehydration and be able to exercise at your full force. A good habit to have is the one of drinking water while exercising, before and after an workout and of course all day long. Try to have some water with you at all times. Drinking a glass of water before eating a meal is a super simple and fast way eat a reduced amount of food.
