A wedding is the most special day for the bride and the groom, and music is something everybody expects to be great, since that is what sets the mood for a good party. However, while everybody has a somewhat sure estimate of where they can find the best food, wine, cake, etc., finding agood wedding DJ is a bit of a problem, since there are so many options available. This is an extremely important decision since the DJ can make or break the entire mood for the party.

Another problem you can face is that while food can be tasted, wine checked for authenticity, you can't really judge the skill and worth of a wedding DJ by asking him to play some songs, since there might be many fakes who could prepare an impressive demo of half an hour and then, after you have hired them to play at a wedding, fall flat and embarrass you in front of family and friends. What many do not realize is that there is a difference between a regular DJ and someone who knows what kind of music would be appropriate for a wedding. The music needs to be the perfect combination of slow romantic tracks as well as fast and groovy numbers, according to the mood of the party. And then there are smaller parts of the party like toasts, the first dance, cake, etc. which each require their own special kind of music, and no amateur can cater to all these without any experience.

The best way to find the perfect wedding DJ is to ask people like your photographer or caterer regarding the same, since they have 'been there, done that'. They are sure to give you some really impartial and valuable advise (unless of course, they have a friend or relative who is into this profession, but that's for you to figure out from their tone of conversation). Don't ever take the assistance of an agency, since they are going to grossly overcharge you for the services of a wedding DJ and are then not even going to give you half of your money's worth, since their own commission is involved in your fees. The best way is to approach the DJ directly and arrange him for your party after taking suitable suggestions. After all, a wedding only happens so often!
