It may been a long time since you have opened up your stash of Art Supplies. Many lived for years with the delusion that they were an artist. They may have spent a lot of money on canvas and paints and just never got around to painting that masterpiece that they knew was in their soul. It was not until recently that you realized you were not mature enough or lived long enough to know yourself entirely.
Now that you are older and more patient you may find yourself gravitating to the idea of leaving something behind. If after your passing, your children can look at a painting that you created, you can still make them proud. It can be important to leave that kind of heirloom behind. This type of family treasure will be passed from one generation to the next so make sure to sign your work.
Fortunes and fame might have never been the goal of your art. You have always had a strong desire to express who you are. You want to become a part of history. Art has always been a cultural motivator. It might have become the driving muse.
When you found your supplies packed away in a box in the garage you may have felt young again. The paint was still good and the canvas was still blank. It was a shame that they had been put away so long ago. If your paints are oil then many of them can be reconstituted by using linseed oil. Also mixing the paint with linseed oil can increase the amounts of use from one tube of paint.
It happens to many people. Responsibility sometimes forces people to put away childish things. In order to make a living it is sometimes important to focus on one thing. This is what became of the dreams and the dreams of those before you probably also met with a similar demise.
Now you can fix that error. Did your children even know that you could draw or paint. Well, what your idea of painting is. Don't apologize for your work. You can be your own worse critique. Allow criticism to improve your skills instead of rejecting it or taking it personally.
All skills must be practiced. The really good thing about painting is that it is suppose to include a degree of messiness. It is a fun way to just do whatever you want. Many people enjoy this aspect of painting. Some people find painting to be relaxing. This is the one type of hobby that does not require speed. It also does not require a high amount of accuracy. Another nice thing is that even if a mistake is made, it can still be corrected with a little more paint. That is why many people take up the hobby in the first place.
Try to put time aside each week to work on art projects. Also try to include the children in this activity as well. Children often times appreciate the bonding experience with their parent. Even though they may not show it right away. They can even start their own box of Art Supplies. Hopefully, they will never close the box on their dreams.
Don't shy away from an enjoyable experience because of the cost of art supplies online. It is true, most art supplies can be pretty pricey. Do your own research and follow expert guidance. This is a good idea to do when you are looking for artist easels, canvas, and other items online.
