So how can you buy your first princess cut diamond ring online and not get screwed up?

Well, I'm going to give you right now a couple of quick tips you can use right away. To make sure that you find the perfect princess cut diamond ring for you and you save as much money as possible.

We're going to first talk about how to save money on the ring you're going to buy. You might consider buying a ring with a lot of small diamonds. That way, it looks wonderful and it costs less money than buying one huge diamond. You might also, want to check online auctions for rings.

Another thing you might want to do is look at some of your family rings. Could you take, for example, one of your relative's diamonds and buy a new setting or vice a versa; use one of your relative's rings and then buy a diamond.

That way, you might save some money.

Another thing you might do to save money is to buy your ring online.

Now why would you buy your ring online? Well, basically it's because you're going to save money. If you go to a local jewelry store, you're going to pay for the real estate and you're going to pay for all his advertisement.

But the online jewelry doesn't have to pay for real estate and the advertising online is cheaper. Also, one cool thing is online you won't be harrassed by pushy salespeople that will try to sell you a very, very expensive ring.

Other point: budgeting.

There is a marketing lie that has been told again and again. It's that you must invest at least three months salary worth in a diamond; otherwise, you would be a cheap bastard.

That is a complete marketing lie.

Another one is that diamonds are expensive because they are rare; that's not true. In fact, it is controlled by a cartel in Europe that controls the price of the offer and the demand. So, they will artificially make the prices go up. So the right price for a ring is whatever you're comfortable paying for.

Now that said, I want to give you the five C's.

The five C's are a way for you to understand the value of the different diamond rings you might want to buy.

The first one is the color, and it basically means that the more white a ring is, the more value it has; the more yellow it has the less value it has.

The second C is the carat, and it's simply related to the weight of the diamond. So one way for you to have a great looking diamond on your ring and pay less money is to buy a ring that is a little bit less, in terms of points.

So for example, instead of getting a one carat diamond ring you can buy a .95 carat ring; that's one way to save money.

Make sure that you don't mix up the carat related to the diamonds and the karat related to the gold; they're not the same thing.

The third C is clarity. It basically means that the less imperfections a diamond has the more value it has. There you can save some money because most of the imperfections cannot be seen with the naked eye.

The fourth C is the cut. The better the cut, the more sparkle the ring will have.

Now the last C is not really a C, it's more of an S, but I still put it in the five C's because it's easier for you to remember; it's the shape.

That is the way the diamond looks when you look at it from above. And the tip I want to give you here is, if you want the diamond to have as much sparkle as possible you might want to choose a shape that round.

So I hope this helps you, if you have any questions feel free to ask me.
