Balloons make inexpensive and festive decorations for almost any celebration or event. From those sophisticated and impressive balloon arches to those bright and colorful balloon decorations on your table to twisted balloon creatures and objects, there is just something about balloons that makes every occasion more fun.
Using balloons as decorations can also save money as they are extremely inexpensive when compared to other types of decorations. However, if you are considering using balloons for your next event or party, there are a few balloon accessories than can save you hours of work, make your balloons last longer, or simply help keep your balloon bouquets in the place they are supposed to be.
Here are a few of the most popular balloon accessories and how they can help you with your decorating.
Hand Pump
If you are planning an event where you will be doing a bit of balloon twisting or are planning on using air filled balloons for decorating a hall or other venue for a party, a hand pump for blowing up the balloons makes good sense. This inexpensive balloon accessory can make short work of blowing up balloons, especially if you are blowing up a fairly large number. It also keeps germs to a minimum. A hand pump can also be used on subsequent occasions when decorating with balloons.
Weights
If you are planning on using helium balloons for table decorations, then you are going to need weights to keep those decorations on the table and not floating about the room.
There are several different types and styles of weights you can choose from such as foil weights, stars and even heart shapes. There are even special balloon weights for baby showers or birthday showers as well. You can even choose larger and heavier weights to use for floor decorations and helium balloon arches.
Hi Float
If you are decorating with helium balloons, you know that they seem to hold their air for only about 10 or 12 hours on average. This means that decorating with helium balloons is difficult to do the night before the big occasion.
However, by using Hi Float, you can extend the life of a latex helium balloon and keep it afloat for up to 10 times longer than with helium alone. Just use the pump and squirt a bit of the liquid into the balloon before filling it with helium, and decorating the night before is not only possible, but you can be assured that your balloons will hold their gas throughout the party or event and for days afterwards as well.
Other Accessories
While these three balloon accessories are the most popular, there are many other accessories to choose from as well such as arch line, clips, templates and videos and books that can give great ideas on how to use balloons for decorating.
Having a few balloon accessories can make decorating with balloons a lot easier and less time consuming without adding a lot of expense to your decorating budget.
