I'm Thinking about Getting Two Kittens, Should I Get Two Boy Kittens or Two Girl Kittens?

In my opinion, I think you can get either and the reason I say that is this. For over nineteen years I have raised kittens. Every time my girl cat has babies, I keep one boy and one girl. When you have a boy and a girl, they mate and multiply and you end up with more kittens.

If you don't want a lot of kittens in your home, then you need to have two girls or two boy kittens.

Two girls will be very distant, territorial, and one will be shy and one will like to be upfront and go outside. On the other hand, when you get two boys, you are going to have two spoiled little babies, because both of them are going to want your undivided attention at the same time.

Whenever an attention problem occurs - when they are getting jealous of each other, which is normally what boy kittens will do; You'll have to learn how to give one kitten your attention and play with the other kitten, or teach them that both of them can have lots of attention at the same time, one on each side with one hand to rub each of their ears. That's what I do. Often older cats become jealous because you are giving the younger one more attention, this can occur even when they are both the same age. Both you and your kittens will learn the best way to play with each other. They will also learn how to get the attention they need even if the other kitten beat them to your lap.

I would rather have for myself and I always suggest to anyone who ask, should they get - two girls or two boys? I will reply with a question, do you want independent kittens or kittens that will show a lot of affection. If they reply independent and distant then I say two girls, if they say they are looking for kitten love then I suggest two boys. So once you decide what type of personality you want that will helps determine what sex kittens are best for your home.

It is your decision, it's your home, it's your house, it's your kitten and it will become your cats, so my suggestion is to get two kittens to love regardless of the sex.
