Numerous people have elected to save some money by installing their own above ground pool. These are the steps that are required to assemble and install an above ground pool yourself. Be sure to read all of the installation directions and instructions that come with the above ground pool.
The first step is to level the ground where the above ground pool is to be located. Having the ground level is very important to the final outcome. Unlevel ground can’t be leveled after the water is added. Preferably a three layer of sand will do the job nicely. If the above ground pool comes with a protective pad now is the time to lay it. If the above ground pool didn’t come with a protective pad they can be purchased from numerous websites on the Internet. They are very nice to have because they not only protect the pool but also protect the liner. They are made from a woven fiber that has a special high density that will protect from rocks, invasive weeds, and nut grass. This is an important liner accessory that will protect the above ground pool and liner from nearly any sharp object. A protective pad is not only super strong but it will also add a layer of cushioning that eliminates the formation of footprints. Most protective pads are seamed and cut to size for your pool.
In accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, assemble the track that supports the outside walls of the above ground pool. The coving protects the liner, simplifies the installation and reduces corrosion. It should be installed next. Coving can’t be washed out, and it will protect the metal components from moisture, unlike dirt or sand. In addition, coving won’t indent or change shape and will make cleaning the above ground pool much easier. Another accessory that will extend the life of the above ground pool and the liner is wall foam. It will not only prevent the liner from being damaged as a result of trapped moisture or punctures but it will also hold heat in the above ground pool. Wall foam can also be found on websites on the Internet.
Next, insert the vinyl liner into the above ground pool wall. You should allow the liner to warm in the sunlight because this will permit the liner to stretch some. Then smooth out the liner and attach it to the sides of the above ground pool.
Then, fill the above ground pool with water, hook up the filter system and pump, and begin maintenance of the water.
