You must always keep a close watch on any child that is close to any body of water. Accidents happen in seconds and you can’t take your eyes off them at all. There are numerous tragedies that occur when a parent runs to answer the door or pick up a phone while a child is playing in the pool.

Inflatable devices are useful and fun but they aren’t children’s baby sitters and they shouldn’t be treated as such. You should also learn CPR and practice it. CPR is always in a state of improvement so make sure to keep abreast of new developments and stay certified. Finally, if you have an above ground pool, remove the steps while they aren’t in use in order to prevent accidents.
