To start, build, and run a home-based business--or any business--can be scary, stressful, and confusing, to say the least. There is always some self-doubt, insecurities, and questions about what your ultimate goals are, and how best to achieve them. This is especially true with all of the information out there on the internet today. Here are some of the questions I have asked myself when I started my own Scentsy wickless candle business:

1. What type of people should I talk to about my electric candles?

2. Where will I find these people, or where will these people find me?

3. How many hours should I put into my Scentsy flameless candle business to accomplish my goals?

4. How can I show other people how AWESOME it is to "start your own Scentsy business", and how can I show them how to replicate what I am doing?

I would like to add more to this list, but I think you get the point.

Through trial and error, and figuring out--what to do to do with my Scentsy business, how to set up my Scentsy business, what workings and what does not work--is very inundating. In fact, I have had several days where it seems like I have wasted countless hours online and accomplished nothing but filling up my spam folder in my mailbox.

A big reason why I started my own Scentsy business was for the flexibility and freedom of being able to manage my own time and lifestyle in a way that suits me. Working all day is not my goal...with Scentsy my goal is to work part-time and keep my full-time income.

Last night, my friend and fellow Scentsy teammate, Keri, came over for a business building brainstorming session. We made Scentsy wickless candle molds, shared ideas with each other, and came up with a plan that would work for the both of us. I had no idea that a business meeting with my fellow team mate & friend could be so fun! It wasn’t until my husband said he was going to bed that I realized that it was getting late!!

What a great way for us to inspire and motivate each other, and get a lot of work done--all while spending time with a good friend! If this was considered "work" than sign me!

So next time you are feeling down or overwhelmed and it seems like you are doing nothing but running in circles, grab your "Keri" and have a team meeting/party! Trust me, when you are feeling down about yourself, a friend or teammate is always a better person to go to for advice than yourself. They understand your strengths, your goals, and keep you moving in the direction of your dreams!
