You would be surprised at how closely a diamond brooch and a crystal brooch match up. The crystal brooch, which is typically made up of Swarovski crystals, is almost identical to the real thing, except you're not paying a real expensive price. Also, if you purchase a crystal brooch and you happened to lose it or it unfortunately breaks you won't feel so bad, because you only paid $10 dollars verses maybe $1,000 dollars. Many women today are sporting the crystal brooch. Young women all over are pinning the brooches on to all sorts of fabrics. I have especially seen many women purchasing the crystal brooch in order to pin it to themselves on their wedding day.
I really enjoy the antique crystal brooch. It takes me back to a time where things were simpler and were women acted like ladies. The antique crystal brooch is created to look like the pieces our great grandmothers, grandmothers, and even mothers wore. My favorite antique crystal brooch look would have to be the antique multi-colored crystals that resemble yellow sapphires along with the antique metal look. I found one online for only $13.46, and that was brand new too. Well I take that back you also have to pay the small fee for shipping and handling, but still you're purchasing a great piece of jewelry for under $20 dollars.
The costume brooch is another favorite of mine. The costume brooch is super fun and very inexpensive. My favorite costume brooch would have to be this one that had tiny emerald stones surrounding its circular shape. It had a giant emerald circular stone in the center of the pin (which to me resembled a pupil in the center of an eye). Surrounding the center of the eye were tiny little faux pearls. The piece is a 1950's vintage inspired look and it sells for about $50 dollars plus shipping and handling. Sometimes women do not want to spend the $50 dollars for a piece of jewelry that isn't even real, but due to the close similarities and the fact that you can preserve your jewelry, it's actually a really great deal. To preserve your jewelry and really get your money's worth I recommend you mixing 1/2 cup of water, 3 drops of ammonia and 2-3 drops or so of some dish soap. First you must check the stones in your brooch and make sure there are no loose ones whatsoever. Once you have come to the conclusion that all the stones are sturdy and in place, you may then begin to wash your stones with a soft brush (I use a tooth brush it works the best, but you can use anything similar). Then, after you're done scrubbing gently, rinse your jewelry. You may have to repeat the process if it is needed. By doing your annual jewelry cleaning you can preserve the jewelry and keep it sparkling for many years. You surely will have gotten your money's worth, which is always a great feeling.
