From pop culture to nomadic romance, Wallis draws inspiration from the latest trends to create up-to-the-minute fashion favourites. Shoes, belts, bags and accessories are designed along the same themes to complement all outfits for all occasions.

Pop Cultured

Taking inspiration from the revival in pop art exhibitions ‘Pop Cultured’ continues the clean paired down trend at Wallis into the new season with a strong modernist sixties inspired look.

The muted tones of winter white, ice blue and chalky rose are highlighted with hot pink and ginger. Coats and tailored separates have an architectural influence and the Ponte wool dress is designed in a clean cut 60s style with a contemporary twist. Print is influenced by pop culture of the 1960s with the opulent printed jersey maxi dresses and silk tunics. Fabrication of sculpted and felted wool, Milano knits and crepe include a winter white coat, a mustard cape and colour blocked tunic dresses. Accessorise with the handheld bowling bag or an art print scarf to add a burst of colour.

Equestrian

Masculine tailoring continues this season by raiding the gentleman’s wardrobe to create ‘English heritage’ inspired looks. Modern classics such as the boyfriend blazer are reinterpreted in lighter weight tweed and the classic trench is updated in chocolate leather. The palette of rich olive, marl and khaki with charcoal is blended on fabrics of denim, tweed and muted checks. Check shirts and basketry inspired print blouses provide a wardrobe staple for layering underneath a belted coatigan while the shrunken leather jacket and aviator sheepskin bomber add a military twist to the ‘Equestrian’ story. Complete the look with the jodhpur trousers tucked into olive suede boots and finish with a sheepskin bag.

Nomad

A romantic story featuring bleached muted colours with relaxed layers and a lean silhouette. Cowl neck sweater dresses are layered under a faux fur coat and gilet to complete the contemporary look. Patterns are inspired by sun-worn, soft winter paisleys often bound or patched for a nomadic undertone. The palette contains muted fawn, taupe, pebble grey and old rose combined with tan. Softer pieces are inspired by vintage petticoats with delicate lingerie detailing and teamed under the nude luxurious parka or the poncho. Fabrication and print is key to this story and includes sheepskin, lofty knits, vintage inspired prints, suede and printed wool pieces. A winter white texture clash statement is layered over printed dresses and accessorised with a sleek leather cross body bag.

Chantilly

The demure Christmas story ‘Chantilly’ embraces grown up polished dressing with an emphasis on the structured long silhouette. Tailoring is key, both with item separates and also in this season’s essential tuxedo jacket. The tuxedo is vamped up in ivory and berry tones in velvet while the traditional tux suit is transformed by the return of masculine tailoring on day time pieces like the white shirt. Matt & shine pieces are paired down but luxed up with layering to add interest. Red hot tones of oxblood, scarlet and tonal reds are layered into the palette of midnight black, nude and winter white. Key items from the collection include rich velvet dresses, the winter maxi dress and the white shirt layered under a lace coat.
