Megaphones, also called bullhorns or blow horns, are devices used to amplify a human’s voice. They are commonly cone shaped and the device’s purpose is usually towards a targeted direction. Megaphones have been used for thousands of years. Its first use was documented to be in the 6th century B.C. when the ancient Greek thespians use it as theatrical masks that featured a conical mouthpiece to amplify their voice.
Megaphones are available in wide varieties. The powered type megaphones are multipurpose with high maximum output and durability. They are economical, small, and even light enough to carry around. Even though they are small, they have high output, making itself ideal for outdoor purposes. Moreover these powered megaphones are convenient to carry around outside as they are detachable. They show very large output of 35 watts, great to be used at construction sites, noisy streets, police station, fire station, military unit, school event, or any wide area where many people gather. The electric powered megaphones are the much more recent inventions that offers the best performance in harsh environments, giving highly clear sound performance in any area. They can be applied in department stores, shopping malls, hotels, hospitals, or anywhere public addressing is needed.
A horn speaker on the other hand is a loudspeaker element that uses a horn to increase the overall efficiency of the speaker. The concept has been used for musical instruments since the early dawn of time, though exactly how a horn works belongs to relatively modern science. Since the introduction of its developments, these horn speakers provide the best performance in the most unforgiving scenario and give a highly articulate sound performance in any situation. These loudspeakers are used to provide the very high sound pressure levels needed for reinforcement and public address applications. Concert arenas are among the forefront users of horn loudspeakers for their high volume bass reproduction requirement. These high volume bass reproductions provide bass that concertgoers can not only hear but also feel at the same time.
Speakers will always be instrumental into your business or home based sound system preference. Your sound system is never going to sound any better than the speakers you have connected to it. It does not always follow that if your speakers come cheap they sound awful and vice versa. Just a simple as re-arranging your system might spell difference between quality and unpleasant entertainment experience. Models and brands of speakers certainly draw the line between quality and sub-standard but again, this is not always the case. Mixing and matching brands and models of speakers are feasible but it has been proven that you will get the most pleasant experience if the drivers in all speakers match. The mediating part is that when you choose to set up your sound system requirement, the models need not be the same. However, purchasing your speakers from the same manufacturer with identical or similar drivers can help sound transfer crisply and accurately from one channel to the next thus producing better output.
