It is the seat of the greatest and longest running European monarchy in the world. As a result, there are many diverse cultures represented in this awesome city and because of all of this history, there are also many attractions in London for the traveler to visit.
One of the most well known, popular, and often visited locations in the city of London is of course the Tower of London This is one location that is steeped in history and intrigue. Several Monarchs are very closely associated with the Tower of London too like Queen Elizabeth, Henry VIII, and William the Conqueror. Some of the prisoners of the tower were the king of Scotland John Balliol, and Sir Walter Ralegh, and Anne Boleyn who was not just a prisoner, but executed on Tower Green. While in London, why not visit Speakers Corner in beautiful Hyde Park. Speakers Corner is a spot located in Hyde Park's northeast corner and is where public speaking is allowed. As a rule the speakers are permitted to speak on any subject they choose if the police think their speeches to be lawful. However, the police usually show great tolerance for other peoples right to speak so long as they do not hear an abundance of profanity or receive too many complaints. In addition to being a great historical attraction to visit it is also free, so you can definitely afford to visit this London sight.
West End Theatre a term meant to indicate professional, mainstream theatre that is staged in the large theatres of London's West End or Theatreland.
