How long do you stay on a page or take to click an email subject line? My guess is you take seconds. You, like everyone else, just don't have time to loiter with something that looks like it won't be helpful or relevant to you. Here's a formula you can use.

1 Give it some emotion. You only have words to convince your reader it's worth taking a look at the contents beyond the headline. These need not be hype. It's about giving the ideas some intensity, not leaving them at a superficial level. Instead of suggesting things could change for the visitor, use "transform" which indicates an exciting turnaround to something new and different. Instead of "find out" you could use "discover" to suggest the excitement of a new way of doing things. Research has shown that there's ten times the movement of messages in the brain from the emotional to the rational than in the other direction. So, use emotion to get people interested and curious.

2 GIve them the possibility of results. People are after results and not some more methods. They'll take the methods as long as there's the promise of definite results. Give those possible results as accurately as you can. That's why so many people use numbers, such as specific amounts of money made and length of time it took. This could be the biggest benefit. However, benefits could also be in terms of easiness or speed.

3 Know what your visitors want. If you know what they're after and you've created the product to satisfy that want, then make it absolutely clear in the headline. Use the right words to make it clear. For example, if it's about traffic generation, then ensure the words such as "traffic", "enormous amounts of traffic", "your website flooded with traffic" and so on are included. Choose the words which fit the visitor in order to get a fast response of reading on.
