Dell has become one of the most recognizable brands in the market today when it comes to laptops. This is not only because of the heavy advertising, but of the quality of the products as well. Dell laptops are considered the most dependable in the market today.
One of the best examples is the Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop. It may be a few years old, but it was definitely a hit when it was first released, and so many people are still using this model up to this very day. This notebook laptop is packed with lots of new features when it first came out, just like the Sonoma chipset which was then the latest processor from Intel. Aside from that, this model has a great battery, wireless connectivity and a decent multimedia capability as well.
What is good about Dell laptops is that they are always equipped with high quality features to ensure seamless operation. They also have various options on how you can customize your very own laptops to make it more unique. Internal wireless internet cards are now a standard feature on most laptops, but Dell was one of the first who made it possible through their laptops.
Another connectivity feature incorporated by Dell into their laptops is the IEEE 1394 port, an S-video port, four USB ports and a Firewire port. Latest laptops from Dell now have added features such as a card slot for Secure Digital Memory. The increased connectivity features provide the ability to get hooked into a more wide variety of peripherals, wirelessly from printers and PDAs to another device’s host. But due to the advancement of technology and Dell’s commitment to give you the latest and highest comfort and quality, most of their laptops now come with a plug and play fashion that does not require any installation.
Going back to Dell’s Inspiron 6000, this model came with a 1.60 GHz Pentium processor or a 1.30 GHz Intel Celeron processor. For the hard drive, you can choose between a 30 GB and an 80 GB. This is the flexibility that is being offered by Dell when you purchase your laptop from them. You have the option to choose between 2 or 3 processors, different RAM sizes, different hard drives, and lots of other features. These options were made available to make sure that it will fit into the customer’s budget and needs and to be able to make the best choice among various Dell laptops available in the market today.
