Testosterone is the sex hormone produced in the adrenal glands and testes that is responsible for the development of male sex organs and the production of sperm. It also promotes secondary male characteristics such as a deeper voice, more defined muscles, more bone mass, and facial hair growth.

While testosterone is also found in women, men produce between 4 to 10 mg of this hormone per day. Overall, men have 20 times more testosterone than women. This hormone is what basically defines masculinity.

Studies show that men’s testosterone levels go down an average of 2% annually after they reach the age of 30.

So do you become less of a man and things go downhill for you once you turn 30?

Not necessarily. Here are 5 tips that will help you stay on top of your game for as long as possible:

  1. Get enough sleep.

The rule of thumb is about eight hours. We all need sufficient rest and sleep in order to remain healthy. Your body gets rid of waste materials and repairs itself while you’re asleep. Optimal sleep also helps keep you mentally sharp because lack of rest affects cognitive functions like concentration and other thought processes.

  1. Manage your stress levels

Stress triggers the fight or flight response which causes your nervous system to release a flood of hormones that puts your body on "red alert" and prepares you for emergency action. But being on red alert all the time is harmful to your health as you will often be unable to relax and recharge.

  1. Get regular exercise.

Sweat it out! Exercise helps you maintain your peak performance and keeps your metabolism high. Regular exercise helps boost your immune system, strengthen your muscles, and improve your cardiovascular system. It will also improve your body image, which will result in better self-esteem.

  1. Go easy on the booze.

Drink alcohol moderately. While alcohol may help you relax and loosen up after a stressful day, drinking too much is detrimental to your health as it will lower both your mental and physical performance, including your performance in bed.

  1. Use a natural male enhancement supplement

If you want to stay on top of your game, your regular multivitamins may not be enough to give you an edge. Male enhancement supplements not only help enhance erections and create penis enlargement, they also help boost libido and sex drive, increase testosterone levels and sperm count, and improve overall health. Choose a male enhancement supplement that contains all-natural ingredients like herbs and nutraceuticals because they are usually safe and effective.
