So, the Winter is upon us and new car registrations have been counted and tallied. Regardless of the automotive industry posting worries of car sales being down this year it would still seem that there is cause for celebration by some of the leading automotive brands.
Apart of the new car registrations leader-board Top 10 are car automotive brands BMW, Vauxhall and Ford. As well as BMWs clear win in the ‘coolest brand’ stakes voted by online users within Birmingham and the rest of the UK this year, they have two models that have in fact overlapped each other in the running.
The new Ford S-max was awarded for ‘Technical Innovation’ this year adding to the winning hype already created by the leading manufacturer Ford, who also take the crown as the clear winner in 60 plate new car registrations. The popular and sparky Ford Fiesta is way ahead with over 19,000 Fiestas’ being registered last month- and almost 5000 more vehicle units than that of the sporty Vauxhall Corsa.
Vauxhall have taken up third place, way ahead of the family Ford Focus. Vauxhall has been confirmed as the clear runner-up with Astra new-car registrations at a high of 66,104 units and the Vauxhall Corsa, on 65,396.
The leader of the pack is clearly the Ford Fiesta with 85,941 units this year to date, however amongst the celebrations there are the disappointments too.
BMWs 3 series has dropped out of the Top 10 altogether even though the Series 1 has crept up the ladder; neck and neck are the Vauxhall Insignia and the Volkswagen Golf who are both competing for the fifth spot.
The Peugeot 207 is being beaten by Mini so far this year.
The runners up for the new car registrations for September currently look promising and could change at any moment with people looking to buy a Vauxhall Birmingham and all over the UK.
