Bathrooms are one of the most frequently used rooms at home. Most of us spend a great deal of time in the bathroom. It is where we allot time for ourselves alone to do many personal things. We use the bathroom to find some time to relax by taking a shower and by relaxing in the tub to take away the day's stresses.
A bathroom must be very functional. Some of the important functions of it are to give us comfort and relaxation. Every member of the family uses the bathroom. Even when visitors came into our house, they may also use and see it and so it is very important that it remains presentable and appealing.
There are many ways you can update and refresh the look of your bathroom. The following are helpful tips:
• For small bathrooms, make it appear larger and more spacious. Paint the walls with a light and soft pastel color. Keep items such as towels and shower curtains, that are visible, colored in light hues.
Try to minimize the clutter in a small room. Remove shelves and other objects from the wall and store necessities such as toothpaste, shaving creams and lotions underneath. These will help to create a clean and open appearance.
Use bright lighting and add a mirror to reflect light. This also helps to create a more spacious look in the bathroom.
The color of the floor is also very important. Use light color on the floor such as light colored ceramic tiles. It will create a larger appearance to the room.
• For large bathrooms, there are more options you can undertake. You can use dramatic colors for the wall and add accents to create an elegant look. You may put large pictures with embellished frames for a rich and bold look. The shower curtains, towels must coordinate with the color of the walls.
Use decorated ceramic tiles on the floors. It will add more depth and create a sensation of warmth.
It's also beautiful to decorate your bathroom with color coordinated candles and plants.
The bathroom is merely a room in the house, but must not be ignored. It's a room that all the members of the family frequently use. Whether you have a small or large bathroom, updating your bathroom can be very rewarding. It not only gives an appealing look for your bathroom but will also give you more comfort and a relaxing place to stay in. A bathroom is the one thing that must not be ignored in the home.
