Many drivers dread checking the mail when they know that a speed camera fine is coming. They know ahead of time when they are getting a ticket the second they speed pass the flashing speed camera lights on the highway.
However, there are others that will get a ticket and have no idea why. This is due to the fact that some changes are being made in order to crack down harder on drivers, and only going a few miles above the speed limit could result in high speed camera fines.
Many cities are trying to crack down on the amount of speeding that is done on the highways today. This of course is to ensure that all drivers on the road are safe at all times. So many accidents are caused from too many people speeding and weaving through traffic. When the car is going over the speed limit, the camera is going to snap the photo and the driver will get their speed camera fine issued in the mail.
There are many drivers that feel that the limit on these cameras is simply unfair. Some cameras in cities such as Phoenix will not flash a driver unless they are going 10 miles over the speed limit or more. However, there are other cities such as Los Angeles that have cut that down to about 5 miles an hour over. Some drivers tend to go 8 to 9 over and without knowing, could be getting many speed camera fines in the near future.
Due to the crack down on the speed limits today, there is a very large increase in the amount of tickets being sent out. This of course is going to increase the amount of revenue that the cities are benefiting from. There is a lot of speculation as to whether or not this is the right way to earn money for the counties, never the less, more and more speed cameras are being installed each year.
There are brand new cameras being installed all over the country. Not only can these speed cameras be found on the major highways, they can also be found at major intersections. When a driver goes through a green light, but at an accelerated speed, he or she could get flashed and the result would be a speed camera fine. These speed cameras are even designed to help catch someone who is trying to beat the yellow light.
The fact of the matter is, some of these speed cameras are not aimed or positioned the right way. This could cause the camera to go off at the wrong time or miss the person who is speeding resulting in an unfair speed camera fine. Mistakes like these are often taken to court where a judge will decide whether the ticket is valid or not.
There are tools that drivers can use in order to get a warning about the location of these speed cameras so that they can slow down. Using a GPS add on to a navigation system will enable a driver to see as well as hear the actual location to upcoming speed cameras. This is a great way to know when to slow down and keep from getting numerous speed camera fines.
The numbers will always increase as long as these speed cameras are installed. Speed camera fines seem to be a financial worry that many drivers do not want to deal with. Be sure to watch out for these cameras and keep from getting an unexpected speed camera fine in your mail box.
