A User turns on his or her computer as they would normally do, but something different happens an error message from Microsoft Windows that states there is a Windows System 32 error. In a panic, the User doesn't know what to do. How will they work on that report that's due tomorrow? How will they get their important emails?

Encountering a Windows System 32 error can be quite alarming, especially when you aren't sure why it's there in the first place. So what is going on? Why is the computer seemingly rebelling against its User? The first thing is to learn what the System 32 is.

In Windows, the System 32 file is very important with the operations of the operating system. One may think of it like the heart of the operating system; if it gives out, the patient could be in considerable trouble if the trouble isn't addressed. When this file fails, it means that something happened to put the file at risk.

So now that you know what the file is, how exactly does it error out or worse, get corrupted? Very mundane routines can easily make the System 32 'sick', so to speak. If the User has just installed an updated driver for either a graphics card or network card. The driver might be bad or was downloaded badly, there can be many reasons.

In a case like this, a simple restart of your computer and then selecting the 'last known good configuration' will set the computer back before the installation of the driver. This option does require an understanding of a command line. The second is using a Windows System Repair tool, which does a scan to find and fix any errors in Windows.
