Step 1: Log on your Windows Vista computer.
Step 2: Insert a USB flash drive in computer.
Step 3: Click Start button to select Control Panel.
Step 4: Click User Accounts and Family Safety in the following screen.
Step 5: Click User Accounts when a new screen appears.
Step 6: Click Create a password reset disk in the left pane in the coming up screen.
Step 7: The Forgotten Password Wizard will open, and then click next.

Step 10: Click next when the progress indicator shows 100% complete.
Step 11: Click Finish in the next window.
Step 12: You can now remove the flash drive from your computer.

Step 9: Input password hint, click Next.

Step 11: Enter your new Windows Vista password to log on your Vista machine.
