Some of us are experienced running the laundry on a washing machine for many cycles, but still not able to get the bad odor out of clothes. Removing bad odors on clothes can be tough depending on what made the clothes smell bad, how dirty the clothes are, the washing machine used, the detergent used and many other factors one could care to mention.
Who would not want to wear clean and good smelling clothes? Of course no one. It's great to wear clothes that are not only clean but also smells fresh. It can give you more confidence and comfort wearing those. There are some simple methods to make sure that the clothes will come out on the dryer smelling very good.
To ensure that clothes smell good after washing, start with your washing machine. Do this by first cleaning the washing machine before loading the laundry in it. The machine will develop a musty odor over many times of use. You can make use of some white vinegar in your kitchen to remove those bad smelling odors in the machine. To do this, fill it with hot water, add two cups of white vinegar then let it stay in there for thirty minutes. This will take away the bad odors that are usually transferred to your laundry.
For the clothes, segregate those with a smelly odor from the not so dirty clothes. In this way, the other clothes will not be affected with the stinky smelling clothes. With the use of a tub, soak first the smelly clothes in hot water with a detergent. Soak the clothes for about half an hour then squeeze them out. Now you can normally wash them in the washing machine.
For those with very disgusting odors such as clothes with animal smells on or sweat from the armpit, soak them first in hot water with a mixture of white vinegar, baking soda and a detergent soap for thirty minutes. This will help to get rid of the bad odors on the clothes. After soaking them, squeeze the clothes, load them in the machine and do the normal washing cycle. There are also washing detergent products that are very effective at removing smells but make sure to follow the instructions provided in order not to end up destroying the clothes.
Dry the clothes on a dryer immediately, as soon as you finished washing. You may use a nice scented fabric softener sheet for good smelling clothes. If you want real fresh smelling clothes, letting the clothes dry naturally in fresh air and under the sun is best. You may hang the clothes in your backyard or in areas that are not so visible. With the fresh air and sunshine, it will leave your clothes smelling clean and fresh.
