Emergency bridge systems are becoming a more and more common request theses days with all the crazy weather the world has been seeing lately. We have actually had clients come to us looking specifically for some type of fast portable bridge system for emergency road building which will allow support to access these hard hit areas. From the floods in Pakistan to the earthquakes in Chile, it is becoming more and more crucial for governments and aid agencies to have access to these areas quickly and the ERE S80T portable bridge system is ideal.
With roads getting washed out, bridges getting destroyed and people in dire need of assistance, obviously time is of the essence. This is why a system like the ERE S80T portable bridge system which can be installed quickly and allows for longer installations than traditional solutions is gaining such headway.
With the ability to support vehicles up to 80 tons currently and the upcoming capability to support 90 ton vehicles, our portable bridge systems allow heavy equipment to access areas where it is most needed. Whether it is tractor trailers bringing in food, water or equipment or if it is heavy equipment used for rescue work, our portable bridge supports it. As more and more companies and governments are becoming aware of how ideal our bridge system works as an emergency road replacement solution the amount of inquiries we are receiving continues to ramp up.
This is part of the reason we at ERE Logistics are continuing to evolve our system. Our recent improvements to our system include longer legs, now allowing us to bridge deeper flood areas or larger gaps. We have incorporated handrail systems into the bridges as an option making the units ideal for moving large quantities of pedestrians safely and efficiently out of dangerous areas and we are continuing to add even more safety features making the bridge system faster and more efficient to operate.
To increase the cost efficiencies our portable bridge system was designed on the military flatrack systems or palletized Load System (PLS). This standard uses a pallet system allowing vehicles to have multi uses and allowing more cost effective storage and delivery options. This is the same system used almost universally by armed forces all over the world to improve logistics efficiency and since military is often used in emergency situations allows for a perfect fit. Just one more way we can provide cost effective solutions that allow budgets to go further.
