Often referred to as America's Second City, Chicago is truly one of the great places to visit in America. It's a city with rich, diverse and unique history and more than perhaps any other city in the USA, its preserved and developed a uniquely American culture. Whether its the lively sports tradition, the theaters and museums or the amazing food - Chicago has something amazing to offer for all walks of life.
If you are planning a trip to Chicago there really is a lot you need to fit into your trip. Let me share with you the 3 things you have to visit when you get to Chicago.
- The Sears Tower
It once held the world record as the tallest building, but today it just captivated and defines the skyline of the splendid architecture in Chicago. I would suggest you make this your first stop as going all the roof terrace will give you spectacular 360 degree views of the city below. This is a great way of getting a general grasp of the city and it will help you orientate yourself as well. They also offer guided tours of the building and if you are an architecture fan - don't miss it.
- The Museum of Science and Industry
Traveling with kids can be a challenge. Just keeping them busy and entertained can be tough, but I can guarantee y that a day at The Museum of Science and Industry will keep them entertained and learning at the same time. It's a on-of-a-kind place and has some of the most fascinating exhibitions. They have the biggest screen in the world at their OminMax Theatre, so make sure you stop by for a big screen adventure.

When it comes to museums, Chicago is truly one of the best places to see undiscovered local talent. If you are interested in art then be sure to stop in for a look at the Monet's, Picasso's and Rembrants in their permanent collection.
