Which type of Philippines properties for sale is the best, houses or condominiums? Houses were considered as some of the best types of housing in the past, until condominiums have gradually outpaced its popularity in the market. However, though condominiums have gained a lot of popularity in the market, the numbers of new houses in the Philippines are still growing.
So what are the things that make these types of housing popular?
Condominiums
Condominiums first became popular in the Philippines because of its location, which are normally found in business and commercial districts such as Makati City, Ortigas Center, Pasig City, and many other growing business centrals in the Philippines.
Because of its location, condominiums quickly gained a lot of popularity in the Philippines, particularly among the many Filipinos working around the clock in those locations. Although there are other types of housing in those locations, such as apartment buildings and townhouses, condominiums can offer a more permanent residence compared to apartments while townhouses are usually more expensive compared to condominiums.
However, other than its location, condominiums are also known for its maintainability and security. Compared to other types of housing in the Philippines, condominiums normally have their own maintenance personnel who are tasked to maintain all facilities found in the condominium, from parking lots, hallways and stairways, to elevators and cooling systems, while its security personnel assure the safety of their residents.
The disadvantage of these types of housing is its cost. According to many real estate experts, condominiums are some of the most expensive Philippines properties for sale in the market today. There is also the monthly fees in which residents would have to pay for the maintenance and security of their condominium which is said to go as high as 500 to 2000 Philippine Pesos a month.
Houses
Because not all Filipinos can easily afford to buy a condominium unit, let alone its monthly condo fees, houses were the next best thing in which many Filipinos found to be beneficial in many ways. One is that contrary to popular belief in which houses cannot offer the accessibility that many Filipinos are looking for in today’s modern trends, many houses in the Philippines can offer the accessibility that its residents needed, particularly because most of these are mass transit distance from popular business and commercial districts.
Another advantage is that most of these types of Philippines properties for sale are known to offer the environment in which many growing Filipino families are looking for, a peaceful environment for their growing children away from the city.
The disadvantage, however, is that not all types of houses are as luxurious as condominiums. And there are also houses which can be as expensive as condominiums, but not as beneficial.
