The first thing you decide on prior to hiring a catering company for your event is to decide on what type of food you want to be offering. There are many different types of food trucks which specialize in selling a variety of types of food. After you determine what type of food you would like at your event, it should be a relatively easy task to find a truck to accommodate your requests. Start searching with Google and other local directories such as yelp. As you are browsing, you should make a list of potential companies to contact.
Once you have identified potential catering companies for your event, contact each company on your list and obtain price quotes. You will need to provide the catering companies some basic information such as: the number of people attending, the venue, the time frame, etc. Remember to inquire about the types of food that the catering companies may have available. Mobile catering companies are usually very experienced to handling different venues and crowds, and they might have some unique ideas or put together a special package custom built for your event.
Finally, prior to making a decision, make sure you sign a contract with any mobile catering truck you decide to go with. It is also beneficial to make any decisions official in writing prior to any money changing hands. You should also work out whether the food will be provided at the cost of the event, or at the customers expense.
