The Journey of a Thousand Miles... and an Allegro Bus Class A Motorhome
You have heard it many times. "The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step." But I disagree. All journeys start with a decision, and it is the quality of that decision that determines the quality and duration of the journey. If you make a strong decision you will be sure to complete the journey. Luke-warm decisions will bring about feeble results. Look at these two seemingly trivial events. Naturally, this perspective will relate to rv living and the freedom it brings.
Let's take two families. Both have children (or grandchildren), a stable income, friends and neighbors that mean a lot to them. Their careers are full of obligations and time pressure. They try to exercise regularly but life's duties make this seemingly impossible task sporadic at best. Each set of parents want to spend more time with the children and slow their exodus to a life on their own.
The first family takes vacations when they can be afforded. They save up what they can for the airline tickets and hotels and it usually takes place during the holidays. When they finally get away, they never quite disengage from the responsibilities they left behind. The event is brief and lacks the "unwinding" time necessary to get refueled. Emotions are raw due to the hurry scurry of the preparation, transportation logistics, security concerns for children at every turn, and the frantic pace of trying to pack memories, that will be pleasant and lasting, into a scenario lined with relatives and personalities. This family returns gladly to the things that are familiar. The hum-drum of daily activities they have been programmed to believe are "normal" because everyone around them is experiencing the same thing.
The second family is quite different. Unlike the first family, they don't wait for big holidays to enjoy each others' company. They have embraced a regiment of squeezing every drop out of life that they can. They take short trips every two weeks or at least once a month. The entire family is involved in the planning, and execution, of these get-a-ways and enjoy looking forward to coming adventures. Photographs and videos are a part of their traveling necessities so they can revisit them in between festivities. They see the sights, near and far, and have a more balanced look at the people that make up the great land they live in. New friends are cultivated consistently and relationships are established and maintained due to the common ground that was the a part of their meeting environment.
The expenses for the second family is considerably less than the first family, which allows the second family to travel more often. And because of this steady diet of relaxation, and the deep relationship being reinforced amongst the members, they return to the mundane activities back home with renewed vitality and a yearning for the next hiatus that will be fast approaching. They tackle tasks and problems with a sense of calm because that trait has been developed every month with the support of other family members. What a difference!
And what is the difference between the two families? A motorhome. The second family made the Decision long ago that they were going to make an investment in an asset that would keep on giving.... year, after year, after year. And the dividends are off the chart!

Maybe it is time for you to make a quality decision.
