Nothing says luxury like leather, and you can now add leather to your desk set, in order to dress it up and make it more fully functional. There are several leather desk products that you might enjoy adding to your desk collection, including leather pads, or a leather notebook or leather notepad. All are useful, and beautiful, desk items that you will enjoy for many years to come.
Leather pads are a lovely, and functional, addition to your desk top. Over time, the surface of your desktop can become marred through the ordinary practices that take place on the desk top. This is especially true of wooden desktops that can become grooved and scratched easily. By using a large leather desk pad on the top of the desk, you can protect your desktop while giving yourself a flat and excellent surface for writing. As the name implies, the leather pads offer a thick layer of padding, which is what will protect your desktop from scratches and other signs of wear.
Your leather desk pad might also be a leather pad holder. What this means is that you can slip the edges of a large, similarly sized calendar or pad of large paper into the side compartments of the leather pad holder, so that the surface of the leather pads have the calendar or paper on them. This is extremely handy, because you can have a calender right in front of you, making it much easier to keep track of days and your agenda. Blank paper on the leather pads means that you always have something to write on whenever inspiration strikes or you are taking a phone call. You can instantly refresh the paper surface by removing the top layer for a clean sheet underneath.
In addition to leather pads, you might also complement your desk set with a leather notebook. A leather notebook is a beautiful accent piece that is extremely handy, because it has a book full of blank pages inside waiting for your ideas. Notebooks come in different colors for the cover, and with leather the cover might also be embossed or carved with lovely designs. Some notebooks also have fasteners such as snaps or elastic cords, in order to keep the notebook shut when you are done writing. If you would prefer a refillable option, you might want to look into a leather notepad. This allows you to insert a new pad of paper whenever you like, and many have pockets inside for holding additional loose pages or even business cards.
You can find these and other leather desk items from online fine writing instrument merchants.
