If you're shopping for top gifts for the fashionista in your life this holiday season, then you're in the right place. Fashionistas are notorious for having a rather large collection of clothing and accessories, so what do you buy the fashionista who already has quite a bit? We'll give you some ideas on how to narrow down your choices.
Don't be disheartened if you don't know what to buy, fashionistas have just as hard of a time deciding what to buy for themselves! The good news is that a fashionista's favorites cycle through the seasons, so chances that she already has some favorites for this holiday season picked out are good!
Our number one suggestion is that you check out what's hot both on the runway and off. This is fairly easy to do with fashion magazines, websites, or just window shopping through the top department stores. OR, you could scan this article and for some inspiration, as it covers the 'fashionista trifecta' of basics: clothing, bags and shoes!
A great way to go in most cases is to find a catwalk-inspired item. We recommend buying items that are versatile and can be worn in various ways, for example:
Jeggings (jean leggings) - these can be worn with a casual long-length t-shirt, a dressy blouse, cardigans or even a flirty dress!
High Quality Dresses - the best ones are the ones that can be worn throughout the seasons. A little black dress is always chic, but a bold red piece is also guaranteed to put a smile on your fashionista's face!
The same way a women oos and ahs over a baby is the same way a fashionista will behave when she sees a killer pair of designer shoes. Whether they're flats, pumps, or kitten heels, shoes will always (repeat: always!) be a hit.
Your best bet is to take a look at your fashionista's normal style. Does she keep it casual? Does she wear her highest heels around town? Or is she a powerhouse normally found in a pair of sophisticated shoes fit for the office? Whatever her taste, you can be sure her shoes will be a reflection of her style.
Just as a dog is man's best friend, a fabulous handbag is the woman's equivalent. Not only does it carry her daily arsenal of lip gloss, tampons, etc. - it can take any outfit from drab to fab in seconds! Now normal women tend to use the same bag every day for years (which is perfectly fine), but a fashionista on the other hand likes to switch things up - some may even have a different bag for every day of the week!
So needless to say, you can't go wrong gifting an amazing handbag to your fashionista - she'll be sure to put it to use! A quality handbag can range anywhere from $20 to $300 dollars depending on where you're looking and what brand you're looking at. Stores like Ross provide brand name bags at discount prices, whereas department stores like Macy's can be a bit more pricey - it all depends on where you want to shop and how much you're willing to spend.
In sum, your best bets for gifting the fashionista in your life is to do some research on what is hot this season and go find it in your favorite store. Be it clothing, hangbags, or shoes - you can't go wrong!
