Christmas is approaching and with it came the so-called "gift anxieties": what to get girlfriend, wife or friend without falling into banality or in a completely useless object that does not end up directly in the tray of the "things that I will never use"?
Surely the solution is to start thinking well in advance what to give, and if not to buy at least take a look at what more we can affect. Certainly, if less romantic and idealistic solution to not run into a gift that is completely wrong to mislead the person making indicate what he would like to say or even letting us directly.
One of the techniques in order to avoid embarrassing gaffes gift is to draw up a list of persons to whom do we turn the Christmas presents maybe dividing them in order of importance and priority. Certainly the gifts to the people most dear to us as children, wives, husbands and boyfriends are put in first place and should theoretically be the first to be sought so as not to find yourself having to buy in recent days without being able to have time to make adequate assess and weigh the choice. Moreover, if the choice comes at a garment better start moving now, so you do not run out of sizes or not having to turn many stores to find the right one.
However, many ideas can come from the Christmas markets that are held as usual during the late fall and winter, usually in mountainous regions of South Tyrol in Italy and but that they are expanding in all cities of Italy. Increasingly, in fact, walking through the streets of our city, one can encounter in spaces specifically adapted to position stalls that are original gifts in Christmas theme but also of all kinds such as jewelry, scarves, gloves and many other things. Surely, however, the atmosphere created in the mountain areas is unmatched and cannot be recreated in any city.
The Christmas markets are indeed a real tradition in areas culturally influenced by Germany. Called Christkindlmarkt their origin dates from the fourteenth century with the so-called markets of St. Nicholas, later known as Santa Claus in the world, where you could buy beautiful Christmas decorations to hang in your home and garden. Today, despite having retained the prerogative to sell decorations garlands, are also the privileged places to find original and innovative gifts and enjoy Christmas in all its forms.
And 'in fact no doubt as to the South Tyrolean represents excellence in terms of traditional desserts such as apple strudel, homemade cookies, candies and Zelten with many other specialties whose only perfume typically on the notes of cinnamon and spice introduces a wonderful atmosphere.
But the Alto Adige is not only a land of sweets also the scent of mulled wine, the precious woodwork, the art works in glass and lace tablecloths and typical of felt slippers and many other original ideas that only can be found here . A fabulous mix that for a visit or a winter holiday!
