Fashion is no more limited to socialites, models and actresses. Even normal working women have graduated from boring outfits to absolute designer wear clothing. They have become brand conscious and are aware of latest trends. The whole range of clothing for women, from casual to formal, as well as dressy outfits comes in a variety of colors and cuts. However, the most important question most women contemplate is about the ways to look slim and attractive in these outfits. While most go on a diet and others swear by meticulous exercise routines, there may be times they may feel these things are not working.
Here is how to choose clothing to look slim and fantastic-
Highlight The Assets
Always accentuate the assets. When a woman wears clothes that highlight her assets then she automatically draws the attention away from her trouble areas, giving her a slimmer look. Also, it's good to avoid broad belts if one has a large waist. Moreover, if one has shapely legs then it's advisable to go for a knee length outfit.
Take The Focus Off The Top
For women who have a heavy bosom, avoid clingy clothing. Also, it's advisable to go for darker colors and to look for t-shirts that have raglan sleeves or ones which have a loose fit. One can also buy clothes made out of thin materials such as cotton jersey or cotton.
The best way to look slim is to follow one-color dressing. This assists in toning down the look.
Choose Pants Wisely
The type of fit chosen for the pants can definitely help one look slimmer. The pants should always be long enough to cover the heel. For shorter women, wearing a slight boot or straight leg cut can make the legs seem longer. However, it's best to avoid cropped pants or French pleats. Make sure the pants fit snugly and not very tightly. Too much fabric on the bottom would make it shapeless. Long pants give the illusion of a slender and long body.
Choose Colors Wisely
Some colors can really make a woman look slimmer. For example, black is the most suitable color for women who are on the heavier side. However, this does not mean this is the only color to look slender. One can also wear bright hues but they must be used to highlight the assets only. Similarly, one may also need to get rid of large patterned clothing. Such clothes are known to add bulk to the body. It's best to wear design that is delicate.
Lastly, if heavy on the hips, a woman must choose clothing that has small padded shoulders. Big shoulder pads can make one look huge, which is something that must be avoided at any circumstance. Wear t-shirts and blouses which reach the hips so that they slim down the trouble area. Wear shirtwaist dresses that have classic, straight cuts. Apart from this, go for dark stockings and a lighter color on the upper torso. Select patterns which go below the knees. This will underplay the hips. Hence, if one really wishes to wear dresses, search for an ankle length, flowing one- A-line patterns are best.
