Consumers will understand what they are buying or how something works when you use videos for your website. The advantage of this is that the user can vividly see what your product or service is about and they dont have to use their own imagination. The next few paragraphs will discuss about this.
You have certainly three options. First, you can upload your video into a site like YouTube then copy the embed code and place it on our web site or blog. You can find a button under each YouTube video that says, "Embed video," click on the button to bring up a menu that has the embed HTML code. Try to copy this code and paste it on the source codes of your site. You are also given sizing options below the video window with the default size at 560 x 340. There are also options like changing the skin of the video player; you can make it go with the design of your site although the skins are limited.
The advantage of using video hosts like YouTube is its so easy to do as long as you have an account. Plus, it is for free so you dont have to fret about getting a large bandwidth bill in case your video is viewed by a lot of users. YouTube also has the broadest search engine next to Google which means your video can be found easily. This will eventually draw more people to your site. The downside of using this video host is the design limitation and the link. They do not only draw traffic to your site but also from it. Users have the option of viewing the video on YouTube.
Utilizing an open-source flash player is another option. You can download this from the Internet at no cost and add it to your sites code. This can run any video you choose. You can find these downloadable players from a large number of sites. What's great about this is that you can easily change the skins to match your site design. Plus, you have to pay for the bandwidth costs yourself.
Third option would be to employ the services of a company that produces video. They can make your video as well as host it. This would be sure to match the branding and design of your site. Among the three, this is the best option you have but the downside is the cost. With professional design comes expensive fees but you can be assured that it is all worth it.
