Priests in WoW aren’t restricted to healer role. Rather, you can turn them into damage dealer machines that quite similar to Warlocks in terms of style and abilities. Compared to a warlock, you lack the pet to take the damages for you, but you have buffs and healing power to compensate for that. Below are 3 WoW Priest leveling guide tips that you must know to achieve maximum level as fast as possible:
- Race Choice
Racial traits don’t really make big differences, but there are several races that will provide you with some advantages.
Alliance
Dwarf: have Stoneform to get rid of poison, disease, and bleed effects. This is useful if you’re going to do PvP in the future.
Draenei: got Heroic Presence to enhance your hit rate. In addition, they got Gift of the Naaru in case you’re use up all your mana.
Horde
Troll: got Berserking, which will enhance your attack and casting speed.
Blood Elf: have Silence. This ability mainly used in PvP.
- Talent Tree
When I mentioned priest as killing machine earlier, I’m referring to Shadow build. This build will ensure that you can deal with your opponents on your own, which is perfect for solo leveling. Keep in mind that you can only see the potential of this build around level 40. At early level, you simply don’t have sufficient mana and efficient killing spells, thus you must take it easy first.
Of course, you can always take the Holy tree and make yourself the healer of a team. If you like to team and do instances a lot, you’ll find that teaming with a real damage dealer class such as Warrior or Paladin can provide you with quite fast experiences.
If you’re going solo, I recommend the Shadow tree, which is the best option for fast solo leveling. These are some of the important talents in this build:
-
Dispersion: reduce all damage taken by 90% and allow you to be immune to many status effects.
-
Shadowform: take on a shadowform with numerous buffs for you and your party.
-
Pain and Suffering: your Mind Flay possesses various effects.
-
Shadowy Apparition: your Shadow Word has possiblity to summon a shadow version of yourself.
Don't forget, you have to be patient until you reach level 40. After that, you’ll have the mana regeneration and excellent killing spells that you need to finish your enemies quickly.
- Leveling Strategies
Wow offers you various leveling methods, but the quickest and most efficient method is leveling through quests. Obviously, you need to know the correct sequence so you can take and complete the quests in the fastest possible way. An excellent WoW priest leveling guide can certainly help you in this issue. Additionally, every now and then, you can always add dungeons to the menu for additional experiences and gears.
Another leveling method is making a team with pure damage dealer classes and leveling together. I’m not really recommending this strategy since you become highly dependent with other characters. However, that appears to be the best way if you go Holy.
Ok, so here's the to do list for fast leveling: pick race with racial abilities that can make your life as a priest easier, focus on the Shadow tree, and utilize good WoW priest leveling guide to guide you through quests efficiently. Also, use your fear wisely. If you use it carelessly, mobs that run away will get back with backups. You don’t want to be in that situation.
Questing efficiently is the crucial factor for fast leveling and that applied for a Shadow Priest too. Check out a report of the most efficient in-game guide that can assist you at fastest WoW leveling guides or check out the best of them at Zygor leveling guides.
