Bathroom linen cabinets are an excellent and necessary place where towels, linens, extra toiletries and bathroom accessories are kept. Many large homes have been built with a cabinet built directly into the home either in the bathroom itself or down the hallway from the room. While there are those fortunate enough to have built in bathroom linen cabinets, some smaller homes do not have them and it is even more rare to find one in a small apartment.
If you are living in a space that does not include a built in linen cabinet it does not mean that you have to go without one. It is a much better idea to include a separate piece of furniture in the space that you have available in the room, which can be enough to fit in a freestanding storage unit, capable of holding quite a few items, rather than to go without one simply because you believe you don't have enough space in your room. Even if the space you live in is very small having a small cabinet will provide some extra storage space and that is better than having none at all. There are many attractive options for bathroom linen cabinets; they come in many different styles and sizes and you are sure to find one to fit your specific style and needs.
If the room is small but it has enough just a little bit of extra square footage, there are cabinets that can provide an ample amount of storage. There are very tall linen cabinets made that only take up about 2' x 2' of floor area but that extend all the way to the ceiling for a lot of additional shelving. If there is absolutely no extra floor space in the room, it is always possible to find an attractive linen cabinet that will fit in the hallway just outside the room instead of putting it inside. There are also storage cabinets that can fit above the toilet tank on the wall and the legs extend down the sides of the toilet tank so you get the space above the toilet to use as storage without sacrificing precious bathroom floor space.
With any bathroom linen cabinet it is important to consider the doors on the cabinet. Some free standing bathroom linen cabinets have glass doors and others have wooden doors. The glass door option looks nice for a cabinet that will be displaying beautiful glass perfume bottles but wooden doors are a more attractive and polite option for a cabinet that will be holding towels, washcloths, personal items and kid's bath toys.
