Here are a few things to consider that can help you choose the perfect location to distribute promotional gifts so that they will have the maximum impact possible.
Does it relate to the gift you are giving?
One of the first things to consider is whether the venue relates to the gift you are giving. This is more than just good sense, however. Choosing a location that directly relates to the promotional gifts that are being handed out can also ensure that it will be easier to generate interest in the items that you are handing out. The key is to find a way to choose gifts that work with the theme of the venue but which are different than the other items being offered around you. That way yours will still stand out and get the attention you are looking for.
Will your gifts still be unique?
It is important to learn whether your promotional gifts will still be unique. If you have chosen a venue such as a trade show or convention there may be many people who are in the same industry as you. This can be fantastic as these will attract an interested audience but it may mean that your items will not stand out and the attention will not be directed towards your company in the way that you want it to be. While it may be possible to put a large number of items into people’s hands it is also important that there not be too many people around. You want to make sure that people can take time and ask about your products and services. If there are too many people there you may find that this becomes impossible.
On the other hand, you do not want to give out items at a venue when there are very few people around. This may mean that there are few people to speak to and you may not attract the kind of interest that you are looking to generate. As well, if your name is linked to a completely unsuccessful event you may end up getting negative publicity and this is never a good thing.
If you put some thought into where you will hand out your promotional gifts you will often see a much larger return on your investment than if you had simply handed them out at random.
