A frozen yogurt machine can be used to whip up a batch of ice cream , sorbet or frozen yogurt any time you want it. There are a number of machines on the market, with the most popular being the small ones that can whip up a quart or two for a tasty treat. Making frozen yogurt is fun for the entire family, with children and teenagers alike enjoying joining in on the fun. Your friends and family will appreciate being served frozen yogurt at home, and they never have to know just how easy it was for you to whip up a batch of it. Frozen yogurt not only tastes good, it's good for you. You can serve up a dessert that is similar in taste and consistency to ice cream, and your family won't realize you're giving them something that's much better for them.
Cuisinart is on the of the most popular brands, and is the one found in most homes. The typical Cuisinart machine can make up to 2 quarts, and they are designed to be extremely simple to operate. All you have to do is mix your ingredients and then pour them into the pre-frozen bowl. The machine does the rest of the work for you, turning the bowl until the contents inside freeze into a tasty treat. You can mix all sorts of fruits and toppings into the bowl as the yogurt starts to thicken. Each machine usually comes with a few recipes, and once you've tried those, you can find countless other recipes on the Internet.
The only other brand that even shows up on the radar when it comes to frozen yogurt machines is Hamilton Beach. These machines are similar in design to the ice cream machines of old, and most of them are marketed as ice cream machines that also make frozen yogurt. There really isn't much difference between the two aside from the fact that they are marketed to different groups of people. The only real difference is that the Hamilton machines are capable of whipping up larger batches, with some of their bigger machines being able to serve up 4 quarts at a time. This large amount really isn't necessary unless you're planning on serving a really large family...or the entire neighborhood. If you entertain guests often, it may benefit you to look into getting one of the bigger machines.
Since going out for frozen yogurt can get rather expensive for large families, staying home and making it yourself is a much cheaper option. A cup of frozen yogurt and topping at one of the many franchises can run you four to five bucks a cup. If you have more than a couple people in your family, the costs add up quickly. You can save a lot of money in the long run by purchasing a frozen yogurt machine and making your own at home. Another benefit is you're free to experiment with flavors and whip up a batch with any flavor or toppings you want.
When it comes to frozen yogurt vs ice cream, there's a clear winner. Start making your own frozen yogurt with a frozen yogurt machine today.
