Turin Sauze d’Oulx

Although many websites will tell you that it is possible to get from Turin to Sauze d’Oulx using public transport in just over two hours they are referring to the actual journey time and do not take into account any waiting time.

In reality there is a bus from the airport to the station in Turin; then there is a train from Turin to Oulx (some are direct, some involve changes at Bussoleno); then another bus from Oulx to Sauze. You will need to buy three tickets in three different ticket offices, each may involve a queue. You will also need to be able to explain where you want to go, which may not be too easy if your Italian is not up to scratch.

Then you would need the bus to leave the airport at the exact time that you are ready and to arrive at Turin station at the right time for the train to depart the moment you board it.
