As with most humans, our privacy is very important to us. This holds true particularly in our own home. There are several ways to increase privacy in your home from the outside world and the occasional on-looker.
Frosted privacy window film comes in varying levels of intensity and can offer heavy privacy. If someone were to be standing only 2 or 3 feet from your door you would not know they were there and would not notice any shadows either. With lite frosted window film you could see vague shadows from someone standing the same distance from your door but still have total privacy in giving away no details of the inner activities of your home.
Besides the front door, another great application for frosted window film would be to use it on a shower door or bathroom window. This will prevent anyone from peeping in and leave you completely confident in your privacy.
If you prefer something a little more "artsy" you have several options. One such option is the stained glass window film. This style of film mimics the stained glass style and when light penetrates the film it will bathe your room in beautiful colors. It will also provide great privacy as it will not allow anyone to see through it.
If you are more conventional, there is always the dark tint window film and blackout window film. These films will provide added privacy much like tint for your car does. It's harder to see in from the outside, but easy to see outside from within. Added benefits also include UV ray protection for your skin, paintings, and furniture, as well as insulation. In the Summer the heat is deflected and in the Winter heat is kept inside. Your paintings and furniture will no longer fade as quickly since the film will deflect the majority of UV rays. If your TV or computer is near a window the film will dramatically reduce the glare and allow you to view your screens with ease.
There are several styles of static cling window film for privacy and they are all extremely easy to install on any hard and clean surface. You will only need a few household tools and just a few minutes of time. Make sure that your surface is clean before applying the film. Static cling window film is also re-usable as it uses no adhesives and it can be taken down and stored on it's original backing for long periods of time.
