In the past if you wanted to sweat it out in a sauna, swim in a pool, or soak in a hot tub you either had to stay at a luxury hotel or join a gym. However, these days, with more affordable pricing and the new technological advances there is some of this equipment that can now be installed at your house. If you want to enjoy all of these pleasures at once like having a bath, a sweat, or a soak there are steam showers available that will allow you to do all of these things and more.
Steam showers are conventional shower stalls that have normal fixtures and heads. Although you can take a normal bath in the shower stall, you can also convert it into a sauna that is very steamy. A steam generator brings the water to a boil and then the steam is provided out via steam jets that line the ceiling and walls. The surfaces of the shower stall are made from a special material that will withstand the high heat without sustaining any damage. The temperature in the enclosure will be somewhere between 90 and 115 degrees. In addition, the unit is completely sealed so that moisture can’t enter the bathroom to damage the drywall, the paint, or the wallpaper.
There are many health advantages to having a steam shower installed in your bathroom other then obvious extravagance of feeling relaxed after a hard day’s work. There are many health advantages to this relaxation. Here are some of them:

• The steam jets will work together to provide you with a body massage that will relieve, rejuvenate, and relax aching muscle. A foot massager can also be installed to make your tired feet feel better following a hard day.
• With the addition of essential scents and oils to the steam you can create an atmosphere that is very relaxing. This will help you to lift your mood, calm your body, and reduce your stress.
Steam showers are more than simply functional, they’re also completely comfortable, decadent, and luxurious. They will give you the feeling of a resort, a retreat, or a spa. They are available all types of features that will make your experience more tranquil and enjoyable. The options that are available include everything from splendid to simple and are only dependent on your personality and budget. You might want to install a timer to control the amount of time for the soak. Bench seats are also available to help you relax. However, there are also luxury additions like video/audio jacks that can be used for your iPod, telephone, and television. One addition that is not so much a luxury as it is a necessity is an emergency button. These can be used to notify customer service when you need help with something or in case you should fall, it can call for help.
