Computers that are refurbished are those units that have been returned to the manufacturer for reconditioning, retesting, making the unit as good as new except for the price. US laws do not permit the manufacturers to sell these units as brand new, thus, they are sold discounted.

Off lease computers are units that are put on lease for a period of time, let us say six months. For six months, the units are being used by the office or business of the lessee. After the lease period ends, the lessee returns the units to the leaser. In turn, the leaser sends the units to the manufacturer for reconditioning. The manufacturer checks each unit. If some parts are found defective, the manufacturers replace them. The units are then tested once defective parts are replaced. Once the units have passed the test, they are repacked like newly made products.

Refurbished units are great for students and those who are working on a budget. These units are a real bargain considering they have the same condition and warranty as those products that are actually new.

Sometimes the only problem was these units are the ones that were used by the appliance stores as demonstration units. You know those TV sets that are turned on at the show window as come-ons for would-be shoppers. These units are set for refurbishing.

Sometimes the dilemma is as simple as the box being torn off during the shipping. Even if the units have not been damaged yet with the box torn, these units are then returned to the manufacturer for refurbishing.

Refurbished devices are not the same as units that have been repaired and reconditioned. Refurbished products have never been used for a long time that means its lifespan has not yet been consumed. Repaired units have already went a considerable amount of time being used. That means it has already worn out its lifespan.

The only difference between refurbished products and new products is that refurbished basically has been to the factory twice already. The quality is the same, the condition is the same, and even the warranty is the same.

If you want to get your money's worth, refurbished products are the right way to go. They are not taking a risk in any way since refurbished products are guaranteed to be in the same condition as a new product.
