Do your young children spend the entire afternoon viewing tv or playing online games? How would you like them to play outside in the garden while getting fresh air like we did? Build a playhouse and help them develop sturdy bodies and creative imaginations.
Construct a playhouse and encourage your young children to play outdoors. Are you worried that your children don't play outside like little ones in the old days? Do you remember enjoying outside with other kids from the neighborhood, riding bikes, three flies up, a playhouse or fort? Now that kids spend so much time playing Xbox or watching unlimited hours of tv, they don't use their imaginations the way children used to and to speak frankly, they are getting fat.
Why don't you construct a playhouse for the children? Far better, make it a family project and get them involved. Allow your kids to help pick out the designs. Should it be a playhouse or a fort? What sort of accessories and trim do they want it have? Would they like it to have a swing? What colors would be good?
After you've got the basic plan picked out, let your children help with some of the building so far as they're able. Perhaps a four-year-old is able to only hand you a handful of nails before losing interest, but when that kid gets older, they'll recall how they helped Daddy build the playhouse. A seven- or eight-year-old can hammer nails and with supervision, cut wood. Anybody can paint, sort of. Do not neglect to take photos.
Then when it's finished, the authentic magic comes about. The children will go and play outdoors. The playhouse turns into a show place, a pirate ship, a log cabin or a submarine. Other kids will come to play at your home. Now can be a great time to get your children into the habit of having their close friends to your house. You'll be glad to know who their pals are when they get to be teenagers.
Do not put it off. Boys and girls tend to getting bigger before you realize it. Even if you have minimal building expertise, it is possible to create a playhouse you would be proud and your young ones will enjoy. All you need is the desire and a superior set of step-by-step, easy-to-follow playhouse plans.
