I have always loved the Ford Mustang. It has appealed to drivers for as long as I can remember and I can certainly understand why. This car has everything anyone would want in a sporty car and more. The Mustang first appeared in 1965 and has been capturing the attention of young and old alike ever since. Although the body style has changed somewhat over the years, it has retained its charm as a small yet not miniature car.
I remember my first Ford Mustang. It was a 1965 model baby blue in color and I enjoyed driving it around town. It was compact enough to maneuver through town and into tight places, but left room for my family to sit comfortably. I am finding that I am drawn back now to this fascinating automobile as the 2011 Ford Mustang models are appearing on the streets. After taking a look at them I think I may just revert a bit to my younger state of mind and talk myself into making that purchase.
The most intriguing thing about this new model is that it still retains the image it had when I first became interested in it. The 2011 Ford Mustang GT is still one of the best retail values around for a midsized car, and Car and Driver Magazine has named it one of the 10Best in their evaluation of 65 of the most appealing new cars of 2011. Kelly Blue Book editors are expecting this same car to retain its value better than any of the other cars in its class. Motor Trend even predicts that it will be a challenger for the BMW.
The 2011 Ford Mustang looks a lot like last years model, but has been transformed with the addition of the brand new 412 horse power V-8 that appears in the GT, and the 305 horse power V-6 that comes in the basic models which are more fuel-efficient and faster than the previous models. When you purchase one of these beauties, you can expect to get 31 miles per gallon respectively. Now that is an upgrade.
The excitement surrounding the 2011 Ford Mustang has something to do with the fact that the 5.0 has returned. The response generated when you press the throttle on this vehicle will provide the torque needed when power and speed are desired. You'll love the attitude when you rev this baby up. V-8 pony lovers will be pleased to hear this because this kind of performance could previously only be achieved with tuner versions not long ago.
With the new power trains, the 2011 Ford Mustang has received upgraded brakes, and enhanced body and suspension. Power steering is standard on all models now too. This history making vehicle can be purchased as a Convertible for those who wish to feel the wind in their hair and elicit envious looks from others along the way. The Coupe is also available and as popular as ever.
This classic style vehicle continues to capture the attention of admirers wherever it goes. Although this newer 2011 Ford Mustang version of the first Ford Mustang is absent a comfortable back seat, you can expect the accommodations for front passenger as well as driver are everything you would want in a sporty, fun car.
Along with performance, you will find that the new 2011 Ford Mustang is equipped with the same safety features of other sporty vehicles on the road today, which makes it a good choice when purchasing a high performance vehicle.
