The capital of the Province of Mendoza offers many attractions to see like the Plaza del Castillo, which is exactly where the city was founded. There, just crossing the square, there is a museum, with important archaeological samples and the ruins of San Francisco, declared National Historical Monument. The Ruins of San Francisco used to be a Jesuitical order church that had been installed in Mendoza in 1608.
