If one of your concerns is great insulation then this type of shingle would be the way to go. It makes great insulation for home to keep your home warmer in winter months and cooler for those hot, summer days. Many other roofing materials don't have the lifespan of these roofs. This expense is usually a welcome advantage due to the many benefits and the known durability of the product. You want to be sure you use a professional to install your roof properly. There will be less risk of any damage if it is nailed and installed properly and they won't be as likely to split or shrink, leaving replacement at a minimum.
