Marbleous Design is the name of a small family-owned business located in the beautiful hill country of central Texas. The owner, Ken Marek, does most of the design work himself, hand-crafting beautiful, natural stone mosaics such as indoor and outdoor table tops, Lazy Susans, floor and wall inserts and business logos.
The table tops are available in a wide variety of designs, shapes and sizes to fit in with any décor. The natural stones used in these products are marble, travertine, slate and granite. The vibrant colors that are inherent in these stone mosaics will never fade when properly maintained. The high quality fabrication of these table tops ensures their long lasting durability. Because of being made of materials that do not deteriorate they are often used as the focal point in outdoor patio settings. The stones themselves are hand-cut or in some cases broken into pieces ranging from about ½ inch to 4 inches. These pieces are then tumbled to smooth off sharp edges and also to give them a beautiful mellow, antique appearance. These finished stones are then arranged into a pre-determined pattern and set into the backer board much like a tile-setter sets tile. Ones can choose from two surface finishes, honed or rustic. The joints in the rustic finish are slightly recessed giving the table top a more textured, rustic appearance. Whereas the joints in the honed finished are overfilled and then polished down to a beautiful smooth surface. All table tops are then given a final protective seal to prevent food stains and to make for easy cleaning.
Lazy Susans are basically small table tops that are made into lazy susans by attaching them to a rotating mechanism. They are available in three sizes, 15 inch, 18 inch and 24 inch. They can be made with virtually any design from a western or nautical motif to a geometric modernistic style. Because of being decorative and practical, they make great gifts.
We offer a large selection of table top and Lazy Susan designs, but we also create custom designs to accommodate your specific color scheme or style.
We guarantee high quality as well as good service to you. We are confident that you will find just what you are looking for, since each piece is custom made just for you.
