When it comes to the benefits of using cell phones, there is surely more to them than just the prestige value. It is not just a fashion accessory, which allows staying connected with the world no matter where you are they are surely more than that. However with ever changing technology, even the necessities of people have got new definitions to be fulfilled, communication modes being inexpensive and convenient has come up to a level where, people always find them attracted towards the innovations. The rate of such consumption of products has given a way directly or indirectly to deterioration of environment and a serious issue of e-pollution is a topic to talk all over the world even buying cell phones have also contributed in this.

It’s important to understand the environmental impact a cell phone has. When a cell phone is improperly tossed into the garbage it can pollute gallons of water. In the United States alone, over two million phones every week are thrown in the garbage. It’s not just the phones themselves that are bad, either. It’s the lead batteries that go with them...no doubt a very big and hazardous problem for landfills. Add all of them together and nearly tons of hazardous waste is getting into the environment every year as a result of people improperly disposing of cell phones.

Recycling cell phones means less money and energy has to be expended for the mining of the various minerals which are consumed during the manufacturing process for the production of mobile phones. Millions of mobile phones are thrown away due to the fact that they are old and unfashionable. Consequently, the planet suffers from the eventual land contamination by toxic materials present in the components of the handset. These materials will eventually break down or leak, exposing the, air, water and land to dangerous chemicals that disturb the delicate balance of nature. If we take a recycle initiative then this means that we will reduce the amount of land that has to be set aside specifically as landfill zones which in turn can be used for far more productive and socially beneficial usages such as low income housing, more farming, or renewable energy power supplies.

Money for mobiles is an attractive option for those savvy to the benefits afforded to the environment and, in its own way, the economy. People all over the world can sell mobile phones and can take advantage of these recycling schemes by getting cash for it. These phones are then either taken for refurbishing or donated for the cause of charity.

For those of you that would love to follow along with the cell phone madness, but you don’t want to spend a ton of money, you could consider to buy cellular phone that is refurbished. These cell phones are awesome for two main reasons. First off, they are going to cost significantly lower than any other cell phone out there. You could end up saving hundreds of dollars. Second off, these phones come in the same brands and models we all know and love like Blackberry, Samsung, Apple and LG.
